These shows maybe the weakest of all of the Palace shows through the years, but still worth a listen. Nice Greatest Story show opener, kind of a suprise. Maybe too much Vince back up vocals, throughout. Second set was better IMO. 30 min victim>foolish, with a stretched out intro. I thought it was weird but funky and flowing. The climactic mid foolish jam was really jamming. I'm not sure if Jerry came back to sing the final verse before the band moved into All too much. Awesome vince tune. Only if he wouldn't over do it in the end of the song it would be a better listen. The corrina was par for the course and the jam afterwards was no where near how good Deer Creek was the year prior (7-20)...but was still psychadelic and jamming. I heard hints of Mind left Body jam. I don't think they had it quite together during enough to bust out the Mathilda. As was every show this tour and in 95, the drums was solid. A good space followed with an average last time into a very unique SOTM. Very good again if you can look past the vocal misques, the end was very emotional. Sugar Mags was welcome. Liberty encore had a couple of "Lord" references .,i.e. 'lord, Im gonna find my own way home..' Once again, played very well. I went against the opinion of my friends that attended these shows and rated this night better than the second night, if for only the victim>foolish, and the sotm. Then again I thought the first night at the palace in 93 was better than the second, as well.
